Special Gathering This Sunday

Posted by John Chandler on November 22, 2005

This Sunday, November 27, we will have a special gathering together as we celebrate this Thanksgiving weekend. Our topic this week is community. Rather than just sit in rows to listen to one of us talk about community, we felt it would be best for us to all experience it together. We hope you can be a part of this interactive time of prayer, worship, thanksgiving, discussion, and eating together!

Because this is a day to focus on our community, we would like to include everyone. With that in mind, children’s classes will not be offered so that our children and their teachers will be able to join us as well. This is our first family Sunday, and something that we hope will become an occasional tradition for us.

First Baptisms!

Congratulations to Marc Olds and Wendi Schneider. In yesterday’s weekend gathering, they were the first baptisms in the life of Pathways Church.

Marc and Wendi have both been pursuing a life of following Jesus for some time. Through the time they have been connected with Pathways, they each decided to make a public statement about their faith in Jesus through baptism. Each approached us separately about wanting to be among the first baptisms at Pathways, and we are honored that they have done so.

Marc and Wendi, we look forward to where our journey together will take us.

New Home Group Starts This Week

A new home group is starting this week. It is led by Karl Hartquist and meets in the home Peter & Erin Simmons (3931 152nd Pl SE in Bothell). If you haven’t yet connected with a home group, this would be a great time to get started, as it will be the first time for everyone there.

More information about this group, as well as our others, can be found on the Home Gatherings page.
