Special Gathering This Sunday

Posted by John Chandler on November 22, 2005

This Sunday, November 27, we will have a special gathering together as we celebrate this Thanksgiving weekend. Our topic this week is community. Rather than just sit in rows to listen to one of us talk about community, we felt it would be best for us to all experience it together. We hope you can be a part of this interactive time of prayer, worship, thanksgiving, discussion, and eating together!

Because this is a day to focus on our community, we would like to include everyone. With that in mind, children’s classes will not be offered so that our children and their teachers will be able to join us as well. This is our first family Sunday, and something that we hope will become an occasional tradition for us.

  1. What a great weekend. Thank you to all who helped with set-up and provided food. I have never experienced a community gathering quite like that before, but hope to again. At one point I stepped to the back of the room and just watched the interaction that was taking place at all of the tables. Just a bunch of imperfect people discovering together what it means to follow Jesus.
